Well-founded roots: Davide Trevisani planted them in 1957 in Cesena.

Since then, the continuous growth of the company has been supported by a continuous exchange between technological and process innovation, which, besides strengthening the company’s leadership in its established sectors, has also created new opportunities.

Nowadays, Trevi Group is a global leader in underground engineering for specialised foundations, tunnel excavation, ground stabilisation, and construction and sale of specialised sector machinery and equipment; it also operates in the well drilling sector, both as site installation builder and as service supplier for the oil and drilling sector and in the construction of automated underground car parks and integrated parking management systems.

Trevi Group is the technological point-of-reference partner in the field of engineering projects for underground works and for research and development of water and energy resources. The Group makes development, research and design its underlying mission and devotes itself, with commitment and passion, to the construction of useful bases for the socioeconomic development of many cultures and of the environment. Trevi has been listed in the Milan stock exchange since 1999 and thanks to numerous significant acquisitions, such as Icos, Swissboring and Rodio, it has managed to expand its roots: Trevi, Soilmec, Drillmec, Petreven and Trevi Energy. Recovery Of The Polluted Areas

The protection of the natural heritage is one of the main fields of interest in the modern world. Over the last years, Trevi Group has committed itself to this goal, devoting its efforts to the study, research and application in the environmental field. Dramatic recent events draw more and more attention to the problem of urban and industrial waste, which is the main cause of pollution affecting watercourses and surrounding lands.

Therefore, the primary target is to isolate them from any possible polluting source and, shortly after, it is necessary carry out any necessary operation for area reclamation.

Reclamation Design And Interventions

Accurate environmental geo-investigation and water monitoring are necessary to evaluate the actual conditions of a contaminated area and to design a recovery plan. Rehabilitation works can be broadly divided into four categories:

  • Ex-situ cleaning treatments, removal of the contaminated soil and subsequent external treatment.
  • In-situ treatments of contaminated materials, without any removal, using biological, chemical, physical and thermal processes.
  • Barriers for hydraulic control: a series of hydraulic measures to prevent the external groundwater from being contaminated with fluids and materials of a polluted area.
  • Impervious cut-offs: partial or total macro-encapsulation of a pollution source by means of vertical cut-offs and, if necessary, deep horizontal bottom plugs, capable of isolating the contaminated area.
